Short-term Study Abroad Proposal Form
The Short-term Study Abroad Proposal Form is used for applications of all programs that will be offered between December 15, 2010 and Dec. 14, 2012. When you submit the form and supporting materials to the Center for International Studies by the deadline (January 19, 2010), CIS will then send copies of your information to the International Studies Committee. The committee will examine the proposal for appropriate academic and international learning outcomes, the knowledge and experience of the proposer to the country(ies) involved, and how the program will enhance SCSU. Other criteria to be considered are listed on the Short-term Study Abroad Proposal Form found on the Faculty Association website under “Policies.”
Approved programs may be offered up to two times between Dec. 15, 2010 and Dec. 14, 2012. This means that the program could, for example, be offered first in summer 2011 and again in summer 2012. Offering a program the second time is contingent upon the submission of a final report that includes an analysis of assessment data and suggestions for future improvement. This final report is to be submitted to the International Studies Committee within 30 days of your return to campus.
The deadline for the Proposal Form will be January 19, 2010. Each year the form will cover programs proposed for the two years following the January when they are due.
