OLD BUSINESS

PSYCHOLOGY (PSY) - TABLED

· FORMS: NC-PSY 880, NC-PSY 840, NC-PSY 878, NC-PSY 850.

· DISCUSSION: A brief discussion concluded that these items should remain tabled.

GEOGRAPHY (GEOG) - TABLED

· FORMS: NC-GEOG 144.

· DISCUSSION: Suggested amendments to the language of lines 8 and 13. Discussion concluded that this item should remain tabled until accompanying RE form received.

NEW BUSINESS

POLITCAL SCIENCE (POL)

· FORMS: NC-POL 320 and NC-POL 335.

· DISCUSSION: The committee has received all appropriate signatures. Reviewed prior approval of POL 335 with Diversity status.

· MOTION: To approve the NC-POL 320 as a new course with Diversity status.

· MOTION: To approve the NC-POL 335 with General Education status to reinforce its Diversity status. [Glade/Frank m/s/p No Abstentions]

PSYCHOLOGY (PSY)

· FORMS: RE- PSY 664, NC-PSY 671, and PC-Industrial/Organizational Psychology Masters.

· DISCUSSION: For PSY 664, questions had previously been raised regarding resources, so, the new forms now address those issues; the committee has the SF forms from both Deans; typos fixed; amendments to lines 6, 8, and Student Learning Outcomes. For PSY 671, typos fixed and amendments to lines 7 and 9.

· MOTION: To approve the Psychology package (RE, NC and PC), and to table it in order to see changes on updated forms.

SOCIAL WORK (SW)

· FORMS: RE-SW 625, RE-SW 635, and RE-SW 645.

· DISCUSSION: Forms change grading option from letter grades (A through F) to S/U.

· MOTION: To approve the Social Work package (3 RE forms).

OTHER BUSINESS

Brief discussion concerning holding a meeting during finals week; the committee agreed to meet and scheduling would be coordinated via e-mails.
