Minutes for Wednesday, December 10, 2008, A115, 12noon

Present:  Jan Frank (TDEV), Terri Sheehan (HPERSS), Ming-Chi Own (CFS), Karen Thompson (HURL, Avelino Mills-Novoa (ELCP),  Guest:  Kay Worner (ELCP)[Absent:  Luther Rotto (CIM), Christine Imbra (CEEP), Kathy Johnson (SPED)]

1. Approve agenda for December 10, 2008

Motion to approve: Sheehan/Own (passed)

2. ELCP – new course CPSY 664 with appropriate PC proposal

Motion to approve: Thompson/Own (passed)

Changes made to course description; need TF and SF for the Program Change proposal; need current bulletin description and complete proposed description

Proposal will be forwarded when these items have been submitted

3. EDAD – new course (EDAD 646); drop EDAD 642; drop EDAD 645; and appropriate program change proposal

Motion to approve Program Change:  Sheehan/Mills-Novoa (passed)

Need to add actual proposed bulletin description; proposal will be forwarded when this is submitted

Motion to approve dropped courses and new course: Thompson/Mills-Novoa (motion withdrawn until resubmitted with changes)

Issues:  need PC regarding change in bulletin description for the program; course outcomes need to be worded as behavioral objectives

News re UCC from Sheehan:  doctoral certificates and independent studies will be discussed at meeting on Dec 11^th (last meeting of UCC for fall 2008); HPE proposal will be looked at in January
