8.c.          History Department Grievance-Step III Resolution       

Motion that the Faculty Association Senate expects the administration to resolve the History Department grievance at the local level (Schoenberger/Lavenda) passed

 

Motion to close debate (Foster/Schoenberger) passed

 

Motion that the Faculty Senate authorizes the IFO office to begin to explore the process of our legal options to pursue an injunction that would prevent the administration from terminating any faculty until there can be resolution on the History Department grievance (Foster/Larkin) passed

Motion that the Faculty Senate authorizes the Meet and Confer team to bring this schedule to the administration for implementation as soon as possible (Johnson/Roth) failed 13:20

 

Motion to move to agenda item 8.b. (Palmer/Carr) passed

 

7.                    Motion for Professional Improvement Short term grants to be used for one conference a year (Palmer/Ore) postponed

Motion to amend the previous motion to one conference per year provided that the person is a presenter (Lawal/Roth) passed

 

Motion to postpone action on the amendment until the next Senate meeting (Palmer/Christensen)passed
