Motion that the Senate endorse the continued work of the Faculty Association leadership negotiating with the administration on the issues identified at the emergency senate meeting of April 16, 2002 and report progress to Faculty Senate as soon as possible (Condon/Karasik) passed

7. e. Tech Service for Faculty
Motion that the Faculty Association protests the lack of technical support for the faculty who teach technology-enhanced classes on campus. As noted in NCHEM report, the number of technical staff at SCSU is about half of other peer universities. As the result, many faculty who intended to incorporate various technologies in their classrooms have been discouraged because of the lack of immediate and necessary assistance. Therefore, the Faculty Association requests the administration to secure sufficient technical service staff exclusively serving the classroom faculty by the end of the summer (Kang/ ) tabled
