1. Call to order at 3:15 p.m.

3. Treasurer’s Report: Balance at $1904.39
a. President Fisher’s meeting with EEOC
b. State-wide Meet and Confer: FA President Fisher expressed concern about a follow-up letter from IFO Jim Pehler to MnSCU Chancellor James McCormick suggesting a meeting between the two of them to discuss the grievance situation at SCSU. Fisher was not consulted or informed of this request before-hand.
Motion to recommend to the IFO Board that no meeting occur between Pehler and McCormick on this matter until discussed and requested by SCSU FA. (Foster/ McKenna) passed
IFO President Pehler has offered to meet with Academic Vice President Ruth Meyer to discuss local issues.
Motion to request a meeting with IFO President Pehler to discuss issues of his actions on local (SCSU) issues without consultation with SCSU FA. (Johnson/Schoenberger) passed
Motion to ask IFO President Pehler to not meet with Academic V.P. Meyer until he has met with the FAEC and received a request from that body to meet with V.P. Meyer. (McKenna/Foster) passed
c. Update on Faculty Association Grievances
i. Article 25
President Fisher wants to appoint Mark Nook, Robert Inkster and a third faculty member (to be named) to a joint FA-Administration ad-hoc committee to formulate a plan to modify implementation of Article 25 to comply with the contract.
ii. College of Social Sciences, History Department
Mediation has yet to begin. President Fisher met with various parties to the grievance to discuss mediation.
iii. College of Education
A meeting produced a draft of an MOA. The FA is awaiting a response from the administration on this proposed agreement.
d. Representation on Searches
e. Invitation to President Saigo to a Faculty Senate meeting.
Motion that the FAEC recommends against inviting President Saigo to a Faculty Senate meeting at this time because it would be counterproductive. (Schoenberger/Larkin) passed
f. The FAEC will ask the SCSU administration to reimburse the FA for cost of the facilitator for the retreat that never occurred because of the administration.
Request to IFO to increase office support to SCSU FA. After discussion, President Fisher will re-draft her request.
