Motion to go into Executive Session (Kilborn/Foster) passed

b.                   Executive Session

Motion Motion to approve request from S. Shaney, Faculty Association secretary, to receive an advancement on her salary. (A. Schoenberger/Butenhoff) substituted

Motion to substitute. To forward the request to the IFO for consideration with the Executive Committee’s endorsement.  (Johnson/Ore)  Passed

Motion to report out the action taken in executive session (A. Schoenberbger/Kilborn) passed

Motion to move out of executive session (Larkin/A. Schoenberger)

 

5.                    Old Business

h.             College wide Committees

Motion to establish a process for selecting college wide committees as follows:

1.       The college dean informs the college unit representative and the FA President of the

need for a committee and the number of members to be selected from each department or center.

2.       The unit representative informs the departmental faculty senator/s of the need for

an election of committee members in their unit.

3.       The departmental senator/s conduct a departmental election to be held for members

to the committee to represent their department.

4.    The departmental senator/s notify the unit representative, the college dean, and the

FA President of their departmental results of the election to the committee. (Larkin/Peterson) postponed

Motion to postpone the previous motion until the next meeting (Larkin/Schoenberger) passed

Motion that the members to college wide committees should be reported to the FA by the faculty senate members from the individual departments.  (Schoenberger/Kilborn)  passed

Motion that these college wide committee members must be FA members. (Schoenberger/Kilborn) passed
