4. President’s Report

a. IFO Board Meeting, January 23-24, 2003

The following items were discussed (as reported by President Larkin):

1. A tenured faculty member in Mankato was terminated for insubordination.

2. Voted “yes” for reassigned time for the IFO (chair?) 3 credits

3. The Salary Review Committee will be on campus April 2, 2003, 8 a.m.

4. An IFO Committee on Investments was formed

5. Tim Price (MnSCU) gave a presentation on Intellectual Property.

6. SCSU now has 9 of 27 grievances. However, there are some staff grievances against the IFO.

7. Moorhead discussed its plans to deal with the budget cuts. All Universities have begun discussions on where they can make the cuts.

b. Meet and Confer Agenda (Jan. 30, 2003)

Faculty brought up a few questions regarding the budget cuts which will be discussed in Meet and Confer.

c. Professional Review Panels

Motion that President Larkin put out a call for volunteers for the Professional Review Panel (Johnson/Kilborn) passed
