4.      Announcements

a.      Meet and Confer Agenda—next Meet and Confer meeting on December 7th.

b.      Budget Advisory Group—Schoenberger gave a brief update. Palmer spoke to the item.  

5.      Call for new agenda items—none.

6.      Unfinished Business

a.      EPT committees, Document for PDP template (EC 091906 7.d) (EC 101706 6.b)—Palmer spoke to the item. After perhaps one more meeting the committee may have a recommendation for Executive Committee. Pat Arsenault provided the committee with some helpful information.

b.      Outcome of Promotions Process—(Article 25) waiting for data from Administration.

c.       Holocaust Center Advisory Committee Questions—passed in Senate. Schoenberger will meet with Bernard Reuter on Monday to discuss the make up of the advisory committee and how faculty are appointed from Faculty Senate.

d.      1.B.1 investigations and procedure (3:30 p.m. time definite)—discussed after Executive Committee meeting.

e.      Extra funds in Article 19—Schoenberger gave an update. The committee will follow the guidelines set by Senate, and what was discussed in Meet and Confer. There was discussion. Schoenberger will follow up with the committee on Executive Committee’s expectations.

7.      New Business

a.      Prerequisite Checking—Schoenberger spoke to the item. There was discussion. She would like college reps to check to see if this is happening in their colleges to transfer students.   

e.   COSS Dean Search—Schoenberger spoke to the item. There was discussion. Schoenberger will wait to hear from the committee before acting.

b.      Alcohol Policy at IFO—Hill spoke to the item. Local campus associations are to determine if they are willing to fund the purchase of alcohol at Faculty Association functions. Langen discussed the Negotiation Team’s view on this and their expectations of having open conversations about policy changes. There was discussion. Liability, binge drinking, compensation were discussed. Larkin discussed how this item came from the IFO Executive Committee to the IFO Board. IFO Board members will bring SCSU FA’s concerns/comments back to the Board.     

c.       Article 28 Arbitration—not discussed.

d.      Committee for On-line Policies and Procedures (Is there an existing committee that could do this without creating another committee) (EC 110906 7.d)—not discussed.
