The International Studies Committee is seeking applications for Academic Directors and Faculty for the British Studies Program. The early selection of tenure-track faculty will enable students to plan for a study abroad program in Alnwick, England.

 

Academic Director for British Studies Program (position description, application procedure, and application)

Each semester a faculty member serves as Academic Director of the program. This person teaches one class from their discipline, a two credit required International Studies 299 and provides leadership for the program. The academic director works collaboratively with the residential coordinator. The semester before leaving, this person teaches a one-credit seminar at SCSU, INTL 199, and recruits students for the program.

 

Faculty Position (position description, application procedure, and application)

Each semester a faculty person is selected to participate in the program. This person teaches three classes each semester in their discipline and participates in other aspects of the academic program. 

 

Application materials for these opportunities are attached and hard copies are available at the Center for International Studies, 101 Lawrence Hall, 308-4287. Ask for Linda Raine.

 

The Deadline for applications will be in late January 2012, to be submitted to Linda Raine in the Center for International Studies in the basement of Lawrence Hall. Please make sure to sign up for an interview time when submitting your application.
