SUBJECT:        Searches for open deans’ positions

 

 

Searches for deans fall under Art. 6, Sec. B, Subd. 2 of the Master Agreement:  “The Association and the President shall confer on the need for faculty to serve on college and university-level committees, after which the Association shall appoint the faculty.”

Deans’ search committees consist of five Faculty Association members chosen by the FA members of that college, a sixth FA member from another college, and other representation (student, AFSCME, excluded management, etc.) to the extent that the six Faculty Association members constitute at least sixty percent of the search committee.
